Terms of Service
Effective date: November 1, 2026
Plain talk: These asides summarize; they are not part of the terms. If an aside and a numbered section disagree, the section controls.
1. Who we are
ANON POST MAIL ("the Service," "we," "us") is operated by Big Content Energy. By paying for or submitting a postcard, you ("you," "the sender") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service; by using it, you represent that you are.
2. What the Service does
For a fee of $2.99 per postcard, we print your message (up to 350 characters) on one of our postcard designs and mail it by USPS First-Class Mail to one address in the United States. No sender name or return address is printed on the card. Undeliverable postcards are not returned to you.
Plain talk: No return address means no return. Check the address twice.
3. Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the content of your message and for the accuracy of the recipient address. You represent that your message is lawful and that you have a lawful purpose for sending it. You further warrant that sending your message to the recipient does not violate any protective order, restraining order, no-contact order, or similar court order or condition of release that applies to you. You may not use the Service to send any message that constitutes a true threat, harassment, extortion or blackmail, incitement to imminent lawless action, obscenity, or speech integral to a crime, or that otherwise violates federal, state, or local law, including 18 U.S.C. §§ 873, 875, 876, and 2261A.
Plain talk: If you mail something illegal, that's on you. We're just the mail carrier with better fonts.
4. Content screening and refusal
We screen messages before printing. We may refuse to print or mail any message we reasonably believe violates Section 3. If we refuse a message before it is printed, we will refund the full amount paid for it. Screening is not a review of legality on your behalf and does not shift responsibility for your message to us.
Plain talk: Rude is allowed. Criminal is not. We don't grade your prose.
5. Anonymity and its limits
We do not print your identity on the postcard and we do not voluntarily disclose it to the recipient. Your payment is processed by Stripe, and order records (including payment details and the message) are retained by us and our processors. We will disclose information when required by valid legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent harm or to report a crime.
Plain talk: Anonymous to the recipient. Not anonymous to a subpoena.
6. Payment and refunds
All prices are in U.S. dollars and are charged at checkout. Except as stated in Section 4, this Section, and Section 7, all sales are final once a postcard has been sent to print. If a postcard is lost or damaged before it reaches USPS because of our error or our print provider's error, we will, at our option, reprint it or refund it. We are not responsible for delays, loss, or misdelivery after a postcard is handed to USPS.
7. Records and requests
Requests regarding an order must be sent by email to bizness+anonpostmail@mail.grokbot.com and should include the email address used at checkout. We respond to requests within a reasonable time. Separately, as a courtesy to readers of these Terms, the purchaser of a postcard may personally telephone (616) 777-7627, say the phrase "pretty please with a cherry on top," and state that they found it in these Terms. Requests by email, text, mail, or any other method are not eligible. The caller must be a live human being speaking in real time and must be the purchaser personally; calls placed or conducted by a bot, artificial intelligence, automated system, synthesized or recorded voice, or any other person acting on the purchaser's behalf are not eligible. We will consider at most one such call in each six-month period (January 1 through June 30, and July 1 through December 31, Eastern Time). Only the first valid call received in a period is eligible, and receipt order is determined solely by our phone system's record of the time the call was received. Every later call in the same period receives nothing. An eligible caller may receive, at our sole discretion, a refund of the amount paid for one postcard the caller has already purchased and paid for, not exceeding $2.99. A call is valid only if the order is completed and paid and has not already been refunded under any other Section, and we may verify the caller's identity and the order before deciding. This courtesy creates no other obligation, has no cash value, is not transferable, does not carry over between periods, and may be withdrawn for future periods by updating these Terms.
8. Prohibited use of the Service
You may not attempt to circumvent content screening, submit automated or bulk orders, interfere with the Service's operation, or use the Service to impersonate another person. We may suspend access for any violation of these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee delivery dates; USPS First-Class delivery typically takes 5–7 days.
Plain talk: Once it's with USPS, it's with USPS.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any and all claims arising from or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the postcard giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any consequences of a message's content or its receipt.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Big Content Energy from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your message, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of law.
Plain talk: If your postcard gets us sued, the bill follows the postcard back to you.
12. Dispute resolution; arbitration; class-action waiver
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, and not in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court in Durham County, North Carolina, if the claim qualifies. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this Section. You and we each waive any right to a jury trial and any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may award relief only on an individual basis. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to any claim, that claim will proceed in court, not in arbitration, and this Section will otherwise remain in effect.
Plain talk: Disagreements get settled one at a time, quietly, like the postcards.
13. Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms; the version in effect when you place an order applies to that order. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to Section 12, exclusive venue for any court proceeding is the state or federal courts located in Durham County, North Carolina. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
