Brick Shithouse

I am 13 years old.

I am on a road trip to see family.

We are somewhere in Missouri.

I have a cd from Placebo, 1998 Album, shitty headphones, a few other cds.

I am going somewhere you will never find me.

It was an age before parents treated their children as non-humans who needed policing about the information they consumed.

A pattern that repeats over centuries -- moral outrage that mere mortals expressed their humanity through the arts, music, and literature.

1998. The internet was the thing I crawled to even though the house had carbon monoxide poison.

I thought that Gauntlet II was the best game I would ever play.

I knew nothing then.

The best game I ever played was life.

And when I got to the end, it didn't end.

Write me a poem if you're so into it.
